Upholding big ideas for reconciliation
The Uluru Statement from the Heart, a coming together of more than 250 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders to call for a First Nations voice in Parliament, sparked a groundswell of public support across Australia. 'In 1967 we were counted,' the statement read. 'In 2017 we seek to be heard.'
Protecting human rights through the rule of law
Each year, Allens completes thousands of hours of pro bono legal work to promote access to justice and protect human rights. This year, Allens Partner Clint Hinchen led two matters for pro bono client the Human Rights Law Centre.
