My focus is: public M&A transactions and large-scale competitive sale processes.

I collaborate with: multinationals, corporates, government and sponsors to deliver complex domestic and cross-border deals.

I love: that a lot of my work challenges me to think outside the box. Often, I have the pleasure of working with clients on deals that are the first of their kind. Recently I acted for Unibail-Rodamco on its acquisition of Westfield, the largest takeover in Australia's corporate history, and also for BAE Systems on the transfer of ASC Shipbuilding from the Commonwealth, which involved the issue of Australia's first ever 'Sovereign Share' to the Australian Government. I had the privilege of working with fantastic client teams on what were incredibly complex and interesting deals.

What's on the horizon?: as our clients grapple with regulatory changes and shifts in community expectations around corporate governance and compliance, they need advisers who can see beyond the horizon, anticipate changes and engage constructively with regulators.

If I wasn't a lawyer: I would be an archaeologist.
