My focus is: advising fund sponsors on the establishment, raising and ongoing operation of investment funds, and advising institutional investors and sovereign wealth funds on their fund and direct or co-investments. I have experience across a broad range of alternative asset classes, including private equity, infrastructure, real estate and renewable energy. I also advise Australian and overseas clients on Australian financial services regulation.

An international lens: my clients' businesses are increasingly international - whether they are looking to raise capital from overseas investors, acquire foreign investments or invest in offshore funds. I started my career at Linklaters in London and my international perspective (in particular, my knowledge and experience of overseas fund structures and marketing regimes) allows me to help my clients navigate through their complex legal issues here and overseas.

What motivates me?: is not only the complexity and variety of the work I do but also seeing the part I can play, in collaboration with my talented colleagues across offices and practice groups, in helping my clients to realise their commercial objectives.

Beyond work: I enjoy / endure watching my beloved football team, Tottenham Hotspur, at all sorts of unsociable hours. With the rest of my spare time, my wife and I can be found chasing our toddler around Sydney’s parks and beaches.
